Work With Linksland
Linksland Golf Travel Magazine is written and photographed by David J Whyte, who has spent more than 35 years travelling, writing and photographing golf for publications in the UK, Germany, Japan, Sweden, Australia and the USA. He photographed all 587 of Scotland’s golf courses for VisitScotland, produced the Official Guide to Golf in Scotland and is a long-serving judge of the Scottish Golf Tourism Awards.
How we work together
-

Editorial research visits
Everything in Linksland is visited first-hand. Research visits are arranged directly with hotels, golf clubs, restaurants and destinations, and every photograph is original.
-

Destination features
Long-form features in Linksland Golf Travel Magazine, written in David’s own voice, illustrated with his photography and linked to the relevant region and Signature Golf Guide.
-

Signature Golf Guides
Premium regional guides in PDF and EPUB. St Andrews & The Kingdom of Fife is available now; further Scotland regions and Portugal follow through 2027.
Recent work

-

The Beasts of Brora!
THE SCOTTISH HIGHLANDS
Where crofters’ sheep still graze the links and electric fences keep them off the greens.
-

The Oldest Golf Course on Earth!
EDINBURGH & EAST LOTHIAN
Just east of Edinburgh, a links where you can still play the old game with hickory clubs.
