JACK ‘SIGNATURE’ for SCOTLAND
“This project has been on the cards for 20 years, and now, finally, there’s movement on a Jack Nicklaus Signature course just south of Aberdeen. ”

Aberdeen struck oil back in the 70s. Now the Silver City is beginning to sparkle in a new light as a golf destination! With the two Trump International courses on the other side of town and a parcel of surrounding, seasoned links such as Royal Aberdeen, Cruden Bay, Murcar and more, Scotland’s northeast is becoming a full-service golf stop
The fishing town of Stonehaven is ideal for a day’s sightseeing.
Sitting about the gorgeous fishing village of Stonehaven, Ury will not be a links layout but that doesn’t seem to put developers off these days with courses such as Kingsbarns and Castle Stuart (Cabot Highlands) occupying headland sites, achieving links-like praise and popularity.
At the centre of the Ury project is Ury Castle and The Nicklaus Village, offering fully-serviced self-build plots and five-bedroom luxury homes. Course construction is well underway with some holes expected to open in 2026 and completion of the 18-hole course by 2027.
Aberdeenshire is Castle Country with dramatic Dunnottar Castle only minutes from the Ury Estate
A deal for a boutique hotel for Ury Castle is yet to emerge.
Jack says, “It always takes a while to create a great golf course, but I believe the Ury Estate course will be worth the wait and also worthy of Scotland and its global reputation for exceptional golf. I am enormously pleased with the design of the course and believe it will be enjoyed by golfers for many generations.”
